Toilet Repair in Dallas, OR

In Dallas, about 54% of homes predate 1990 and roughly 28% of households rent. Both halves of this page apply to somebody here.

Short version

In Dallas the split runs 72% owner-occupied against 28% rented. That makes responsibility a matter of your own address rather than the town's pattern, and it is worth settling before anybody is called out to the property. Housing there splits either side of 1990 at 54% pre-1990, so flush volume is worth checking rather than assuming.

Tank and Bowl is a referral service, not a contractor. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands. Every state page sets out who licenses plumbers there and where to check, so you can confirm before work begins. We carry out no work, we sell no fixtures, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call.

Who this page is for in Dallas

Dallas splits roughly 72% owning to 28% renting across 8,762 occupied homes, so this page has two audiences. If you own, the decision is yours. If you rent, the toilet is almost certainly not your repair and the useful action is reporting it properly.

What the age of Dallas’s housing suggests

Dallas straddles the line: 54% of its housing units were built before 1990, when the Energy Policy Act of 1992 set the 1.6 gallon maximum, and the rest since.

So the housing stock genuinely does not predict the fixture here, and the date inside the tank lid is worth more than any figure on this page.

What is actually wrong with it

The fault list is short. A running tank and a weak flush are both usually parts inside the tank. A leak at the base is the one that damages the building, and a fixture that rocks is the one that causes it.

Ask them to name the fault before they name the price. “The toilet needs replacing” is not a diagnosis; “the flapper seat is pitted and will not hold a new flapper” is, and it happens to be a common one.

If the dye test pointed at the flapper, that is a part, not a fixture.Worth saying on the call, because it changes what somebody arrives with. We connect you to a contractor covering your area and you are never charged. Whatever wants a plumber in Dallas can be raised when you call.
